Helios vs Lindy

Helios vs Lindy

Lindy sells per-user plans with credit bundles and a large connector library. Helios gives every run its own computer and meters usage for the whole organization.

5,000 free credits to start.

Lindy's home page says it connects to all your tools, knows everything about your company, and does real work for the whole team. It is aimed at operations, sales, and support teams at small and mid-sized companies, with templates and a quick first setup. Helios is aimed at engineers first and operators second. Each run gets a full computer on every plan, spending limits apply to the organization before a run starts, and roles and sharing are part of the product for every team. The two products overlap on scheduled and event-driven work. They differ on what an agent gets to work with and on how spend is controlled.

Where Lindy is strong

What Lindy does well

  • More than 1,000 connectors, so most SaaS tools have a ready-made action.
  • Interfaces where operators already are. Lindy agents can be reached over iMessage and Slack, and Lindy includes a meeting recorder.
  • A large template library and an easy first setup for people who do not write code.
  • A seven-day trial and month-to-month billing on the self-serve plans.

Where Helios is different

How Helios works instead

  • A full computer on every plan. Each Helios run starts its own sandbox with a shell, a filesystem, and code execution. Lindy lists computer use on its Pro plan and above.
  • Spending limits before a run. Each Helios organization sets a monthly spending limit. When credits run out, triggers stop. Usage is one meter for the whole organization.
  • Roles and sharing for every team. Helios has four resource roles, groups, service accounts, and share expiry. None of these are gated to a plan.
  • The full API of each tool. Helios indexes the complete OpenAPI or GraphQL surface of a connected service, so an agent is not limited to a curated action list.
  • The same permissions in the terminal. The Helios CLI reads the same roles as the dashboard and prints JSON when piped. Requires the CLI release.

Using both

Helios and Lindy together

Moving a Lindy agent to Helios means writing its steps as a workflow prompt, connecting the same tools, and choosing a trigger. There is no importer. Helios has fewer connectors than Lindy, so check the integrations page first. For a tool Helios does not connect to, a remote MCP server or a direct API call from the sandbox often covers it.
